It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Bryant Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Bryant and Florence Lambert Bryant; her husband Herbert Locklear; and her siblings, Curt Locklear, Linda Hammonds, Virginia Bryant, Ella Jackson and Bonnie Bryant.

She is survived by: her children, Jeremy Benson (Alisha) of Maxton, Heather Stephens of Parkton, Jan Benson Outlaw (Charles) of Beulaville and Angela Lynn of Eden; her siblings, Willie Bryant Jr. of Red Springs, Christine Matchett of Red Springs, Myrtis Collins of Red Springs, Delores Locklear of Red Springs and Myra Farrah of Maxton; her grandchildren, Patience, C. J., Dee Jay, Raven, Bryson, Indya, Braxton, Sawyer, Jordyn, Evelyn, Kayelynn and Ayden; and her great grandchild Lincoln. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
