She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Cleveland and Della Gracie Mooney Via; her grandmother Lela Hardy Mooney; her significant other Lawrence Freeman Peace; her grandparents, James Monroe and Lula Via; her in-laws, Stuart and Sarah Peace; her brother Milton; her daughters, Daniéle Peace Kay, Desirée Via Peace and Dellany Towne Peace; her grandchildren, Makenzy Kay, Aubrie Kay, Lukas Kay, David Lawrence Peace II and Caleb Freeman Peace; and also David Peace (Stephanie) of Clayton, NC.
She is survived by: her sister Elaine Via McCollum; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Via. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who fondly remember their Aunt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mayodan First Baptist Church (111 E Main St, Mayodan, NC 27027). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Shepherd Memorial Park (5045 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28791).
