He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Wheeler Nelson; his daughter Susan Nelson; his grandchildren, Deedee Smith (Jesse) and Lindsay Graham (Josh); his great grandchildren, Lola Smith, Jude Smith and Miles Graham; and his sister Jaunita Smith (Glenn). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends who were blessed by his kindness.
