He was predeceased by: his siblings, Julius "Tom" Hendren, Lexie Hendren Shaw and Roxie Lee Hankins. He is survived by: his children, Walter Hendren, Jr. (Cathy) and Rose Marie Hendren (David Huffman); his grandchildren, Donna, Brandy, Sydney Hendren and Skyler Huffman; and his stepgranddaughter Elizabeth Price. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; ten nieces and nephews, and numberous great nieces.
