With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorraine Lee Murphy (Maysville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 85. Though Lorraine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lorraine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Ireland (Cliff) of New Bern and Karen Tripp of New Bern; and her grandsons, Cody Benton and Curtis Ireland III.
