With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby Louise Wilburn of Maysville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Southard and Lillian Southard; and her son Donald Marvin Fry-Clifford. She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Hernandez of Maysville, Michelle Flickinger (Dale Jr.) of Maysville, Sherry Ann Powers of Maysville and Sheila Stevens (Sam) of Florida; her siblings, Johnny Southard of Grantsboro, Jimmy Southard of Jacksonville, Herman Southard of Iowa, Roger Southard, Rebecca Squires of Grantsboro, Linda Southard, Nina Brown, Betty Talman, Kitty Gaile Cantor and Sara Hunt; her grandchildren, Barry Budbill, Crystal Glission, Brian Fry, Amy Flickinger-Bottum, Serena Flickinger, Johnathon Hart, Christina Trevino, Jessica Wilburn and Heather Filingame; and her great great grandchild Opal. She is also survived by other grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kahlert Funerals & Cremations (308 Main St, Maysville, NC 28555). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the New Bern Memorial Cemetery (1112 Chelsea Rd, New Bern, NC 28562).
