He was predeceased by : his parents, Wiley Homer and Beulah Carter; his sister Betty Ann Carter; and his former life partner Edna D. Carter. He is survived by : his wife Betty Noah Carter; his children, Camille Hyatt (Chad) and Mark Carter (Teresa); his grandchildren, Matthew, Levi Hyatt, Brock Carter (Shelbi), Taylor Boles (Carter) and Morgan Smith (Chris); and his great grandchild Hudson Smith.
