It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Otey Spence of McLeansville, North Carolina, born in Wytheville, Virginia, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Logan Spence and Annie Marie Symthers Spence; and his siblings, Richard Logan Spence, Jr. and Doris Spence Fontaine (John). He is survived by : his sons, Jason E. Spence of McLeansville, NC and Steven R. Spence of Berthoud, CO.; and his brothers, Charles R. Spence and John M. Spence (Joyce). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
