He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Washington and Margaret Shell Stevenson; his former wife Faith Hall Stevenson; and his siblings, John L. Stevenson, William "Bill" Stevenson, Charles A. Stevenson, Dorothy Beckham, Lina Murdock and Ethel Morrison.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Whaley Stevenson; his daughters, Angela S. Poole and Ronda S. Gibson (Joel); his grandson Aaron T. Poole; his sister Nancy Caselles; his stepdaughters, Kecia Smith and Kelly Fann; and his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Queener, Tanner Queener, Jaden Browning and Sydney Morton. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hines Chapel (4476 Hines Chapel Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:45 PM at the Hines Chapel Church (4476 McLeansville Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park.
