He was predeceased by: his parents, James Moore Sr. and Minnie Smith Moore; his former wife Phyllis Moore; his sister Virginia Wilson; and his brothers-in-law, John Wilson and Donald Wilkins.
He is survived by: his children, Dena Wray and Travis Moore (Ana); and his sister Frances Wilkins. He is also survived by grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved church family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Plainview Baptist Church (1820 Mt Hope Church Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301).
