She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurston Edward and Stella Mae Watson Kiger; and her sister Barbara Kiger Gauldin. She is survived by: her husband David William Wails, Jr.; her sons, Curtis Vance (Trisha) of Gibsonville, Garrett Apple (Charley) of Liberty, Todd Apple and Lindsey of Franklinville; her stepsons, John H. O'Bryan (Elana), David W. Wails III and Timothy A. Wails; her grandchildren, Brent Apple, Garin Apple, Alyssa Apple, Kyndall Apple and Alleigh Morton; and her siblings, Betty Vogler of Kernersville, Billie Stack of Oak Ridge and Lee Kiger of Kernersville. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren.
