He was predeceased by : his parents, Dewey Caudle and Ruby Caudle; and his siblings, Jean Burney, Clayton and Harold Caudle.

He is survived by : his wife Nell Caudle; his daughter Pamela; his son-in-law Gene Thompson of Greensboro; his grandson Taylor Thompson (Lindsay) of Greensboro; and his great grandchildren, Hunter and Hayleigh.
