With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fay Freshwater Whited (Mebane, North Carolina), who passed away on February 5, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Wesley Freshwater, Sr. and Lodie Beatrice Freshwater; her husband John Paul Whited; her brother Monty Craig Freshwater; and her grandson Shannon Ross Reese.
She is survived by: her children, John Paul Whited, Jr., Garland Keith Whited, Phillip Dale Whited, Tamara Whited Harvey and Doby Wren Whited; and her siblings, Danny Gordon Freshwater, Albert Wesley Freshwater, Jr. and Waynona Sue Freshwater Clark of Calhoun. She is also survived by her five children and their spouses, along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
