She is survived by: her sisters, Bernie May of Greensboro and Brenda Riley of Burlington; her children, Benny Joyce of Mebane and Tammie Workman (Lynwood) of Mebane; her grandchildren, Crystal Gualdoni (Jamey), Josh Workman and Kaylee Ray (Victor); her husband Wayne Doby; and her siblings, Bernise Bateman, Linda Garland and Richard Jones.
Gloria faced her later years with grace, having battled Alzheimer's disease since 2017.
