He was predeceased by: his brothers, Kevin Wayne Palaganas and Benjamin Ryan Palaganas; and his grandparents, Walter, Essie Tucker, Everett Sr. and Geraldine Scott.

He is survived by: his father Everett S. Scott (Mary Jane Palaganas) of Cary; his wife Karen Scott; his children, Julia Scott, Kaylen Scott and Matthew Scott; his mother Mary Jane Palaganas of Goldsboro; his brothers, Austin Nathaniel Scott (Gena) of Goldsboro and Lanny Scott of Cary; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Craft, William Doby and Dennis Spear; his siblings' children, Lauren Wright, Emily Craft, Ivy Scott, Palmer Scott, Hope Palaganas, Avery Scott, Lanny Scott, Jr. and Ryder Scott; and his aunt Mary Scott.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Service & Crematory (207 E Elm St, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
