She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Raymond Riggan and Ruby Caroline Harris Riggan; and her husband Herman Alber George Hecht. She is survived by: her children, Raymond Carl Hecht, David Durand Hecht (Lynn) and Deborah Elaine Hecht (Jose Olmos); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell, Jaime Massey, Ashley Torain, Ryan Hecht and Melissa Hecht. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and I great-great grandson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Walkers Funeral Home Chapel of Hillsborough (204 N Churton St, Hillsborough, NC 27278). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (824 N Buchanan Blvd, Durham, NC 27701).
The family requests that memorial donations be directed to the Louisburg College Scholarship Fund, 501 N. Main Street, Louisburg, NC 27549.
