He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tate and Maggie Tate (Pritchett); and his brother Wade (Jean). He is survived by: his spouse Jean Wilkerson; his children, Robin Harper (Rob) and Tony Tate (Vera); his grandchildren, Erin Lawson (Erick), Will Harper, Jay Harper and Allison Kincheloe (Chris); his niece Rhonda Tate Kernodle; his nephew Craig Tate; his siblings-in-law, Johnny Wilkerson (Wendy) and Gail Wilkerson; and his caregivers, Sarah Strayhorn and Frances Richmond. He is also survived by other loving family members, friends, and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Mebane.
