He is survived by: his son Jerry Cowand II (Joan) of Merry Hill; his grandchildren, Jerry H. Cowand III of Virginia Beach and Sarah Rock (Aaron) of South Haven; and his great grandchild A. J. Rock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
