He is survived by : his daughters, Lori Britt (Jim), Christie Turner and Tanya Gilchrist (Jamey); his stepdaughter Teresa Barnes; his grandchildren, Nicholas (Sierra), Jordan, Leah, AnnaKate, Justin (Elizabeth) and Brittany; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Georgia and Brayden; his pet Penny; and his close friend Dottie Bryant.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Micro Memorial Gardens (Selma, NC 27576).
