It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Brown Strickland of Middlesex, North Carolina, who passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Willis Strickland; her daughter Janet Amerson; her parents, Allen Brown and Reba Brown; her siblings, Shirley Hopkins (Margaret Allen) and Jay Brown (Wallace Brown); and her siblings-in-law, Gertrude Saunders and John Strickland.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tiffany Allen (Brian) and Jeffrey Amerson; her great grandchildren, Jacob Perry, Bryson Allen, Bennett Allen, Brody Allen and Kinsley Allen; her son-in-law Roger Amerson; and her siblings, Almeta Allen (Johnny), Judy Brown, Barbara Narron and Hoyt Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
