As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Arlene Parsons may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, W. C. "Cliff" Parsons and Myrtle Rae Boyd Parsons; her husband L. W. "Bunk" Whitley; and her sisters, Mazel Andrews and Eleanor Panetti.
She is survived by: her sister Myrtle Rae Blake; and her children, Cliff Whitley (Margie) of Statesville, NC and Lorraine Peebles (Patrick) of Norwood, NC..
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Calendar First Baptist Church (4720 Garmon Mill Rd, Midland, NC 28107). A memorial service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
