He was predeceased by : his parents, Ira Buford Howell Sr. and Beulah Tucker Howell; his former life partner Carolyn Kay Howell; and his son Tony Howell. He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth "Gail" Howell; his son Bobby Howell (Ann) of Midland, NC; and his granddaughter Alicia Scott (Stephen).
