She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Schaefer and Julia Walther Schaefer; her husband John Grygier; and her siblings, Howard, Jack, Victor Schaefer and Anna Terry.

She is survived by : her children, Jean Haines (Walter), Johnny Grygier, Jacqueline Miller (Gordon) and Joann Welwood (Jay); and her sisters, Delores Harris and Barbara Kurelco. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hope Community Fellowship Church (10643 Blair Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227).
