We announce the death of Barbara Ann Roten Dancy of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 73. Barbara Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Roten and Virginia Dare Stanley Roten; and her siblings, Leon Roten, Nellie Roten and Betty Darnell.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Lee Dancy of Millers Creek; her daughters, Lisa Jones (Dwayne) of Crumpler, Angie Wingler of McGrady and Amanda Bundy (Joey) of Lansing; her brother Mike Roten of Millers Creek; her grandchildren, Amber Wingler, Tyler Wingler, Haley Dillard (Kabel), Landon Bundy and Amelia Jones; and her great grandchild Aubrey Owens. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church (420 Colvard Rd, Millers Creek, NC 28651).
