It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Monroe Joines of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Robin Aletha Joines; and his siblings, David Joines, Bernice Bumgarner (Zollie) and Louise Bumgarner (Burl). He is survived by: his wife Lorene Epeley Joines; his daughter Dr. Lisa Joines-Myers; his son-in-law Dr. Bill Myers; his grandson Sam Myers of Cullman, AL; his siblings, James Joines (Drucilla) of North Wilkesboro and Marjorie Lankford (Bill) of Lincolnton; and his sister-in-law Linda Joines of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wilkesboro Baptist Church (300 W Main St, Wilkesboro, NC 28697). A burial was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at the Scenic Memorial Gardens (545 Moravian Falls Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697).
