He is survived by: his wife Judy Pearson Childress; his sons, Jeffrey Wayne Childress (Marsha) of Millers Creek and Brian Lee Childress (Tonya) of Sneads Ferry; his grandchildren, Kayla Johnson (James), Noah Childress (Sarah) of Hays, Mason Childress of Greenville, Miles Childress of Sneads Ferry and Parker Childress of Millers Creek; his great grandchildren, Natalee Johnson and Baby Daisy Rae; his siblings, Barbara Sebastian (Wilkesboro), Pat Royal (Wilkesboro), Merlene Anderson (Wilkesboro), Dennis Childress (Dorothy) of Traphill and Kim Childress of Wilkesboro; and his sister-in-law Joyce Childress of Taylorsville.
