She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Grafton Hayden and Nellie Marie Hayden (Tuttle); her brother Kenneth Hayden; her brother-in-law Alan Duncan; and her sisters, Phyllis Duncan, Kathy Parris and Peggy Husscussin.
She is survived by: her husband David Coy Brown; her brother Roger Hayden (Carolyn); and her brothers-in-law, Gordon Parris and Raymond Husscussin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, a great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (14 Chastain Hill Rd, Mills River, NC 28759).
