He was predeceased by : his parents, Greenberry Robinson and Bessie Mae McIntosh Robinson; his wife Annie Bell Freeman Robinson; his siblings, Mary Lou Jamerson, Inez Quinn, Shirley Robinson, David Robinson (Carmel), Gay Robinson, Dewey Robinson, Cecil Robinson, Frank Robinson, Earl Robinson and Jerry Robinson; and his granddaughter Amy Rast.

He is survived by : his children, Tommy Robinson (Hazel) of Mills River, NC, Chance Lands (Shelby) of Hendersonville, NC, Janice Hill of Mills River, NC and Linda Goodwin (Bobby) of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Chris Hill, Rodney Robinson and Crystal Gardner; his great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Starr, Chase, Logan, Amber, Walker, Alissa, Marshall, Mason, Levi, Laken, Locklin, Linley and Leo; and his sisters, Betty Ray of Madison County, NC and Pansy Hathaway of Weaverville, NC..

The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Four Season Hospice and Boiling Springs Baptist Church, building fund.
