She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nunneley and Billie Nunneley; her sister Jan Nunneley; and her husband Travis E. Ruch. She is survived by: her children, Travis Ruch and Heidi Cordova; her aunts and uncles, Luis, Judy Foley, Stan, Barbara Nunneley and Peggy Hagert; and her cousins, Delnita, Winona, Danny and Dawn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church (11416 Albemarle Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens (1504 W Sugar Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262).
Even beyond her impactful role in education, she was a compassionate caregiver for her Mother as Billie struggled with Alzheimer's.
