She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Long and Leitha B. Long; her husband Daniel "Bunk" Lawrence Carriker Jr. of Mint Hill; her brother Robert B. Long of Mint Hill; and her son-in-law Ronald L. Cochrane of Mint Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Carriker Cochrane, Daniel Lawrence Carriker III (Shelia) and Robert L. Carriker; her grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Cochrane (Samantha), Jennifer L. Cochrane and Mariana Carriker (Jeffrey Hairston); and her brother George Edwin Long (Anne). She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
