He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth and John; and his son Paul. He is survived by: his children, David, Michael, Eric, Karl, Kathy and Stephen; his children-in-law, Cindy, Teresa, Erin, Cheri, Colleen and Daniel; his grandchildren, Joshua (Madeleine), Ross (Christina), Brittany, Andrew (Janet), Leah, Nicholas, Tyler (Maddie), Jeremy, Ryan, Emily, Jonathan, Katherine and Sydney; his great grandchildren, Scout, Murphy, Morgan and Collins; his brother Robert (Bob); his siblings-in-law, Martha and Al Hasis; and his wife Barbara Schwoerer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel (7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Catholic Church (9800 Fairview Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227).
