He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Long and Leitha Long; his wife Betty Wilson Long; and his daughter-in-law Patti Hagler Long. He is survived by: his siblings, George Edwin Long (Ann) of Midland, NC and Jane Long Carriker (late Bunk Carriker) of Mint Hill; his children, Debra Long Hunt (Gary) of Durham, NC and Robert Michael Long of Mint Hill; his granddaughters, Lindsay Hunt of Durham, NC and Lauren Hunt Baylin (Ricky) of Great Falls, Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Bennett Baylin and Elyse Baylin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and thousands of friends.
