It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Elaine Bumgarner of Mocksville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Lee and Jacqueline Elmina Rumple Smith; her husband Johnny Wayne Bumgarner; her brother Jesse Duffy Smith; and her niece Deana Starnes.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Lowthorp Wolfe, Treva Lowthorp and Terry Lowthorp, Jr. (Rhonda); her brother Johnny Lee Smith, Jr.; her sister-in-law Kaye Campbell; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Samuel), Terry III, Thomas, Austin (Waylon), Travis, Olivia (Andrew) and Master (Chevy Mack); her great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kason, Charli, Colt, Harper and Barrett; her close friend Vickie Loftin; and her cousin Debra Crouch. She is also survived by many cousins, friends, neighbors, and her friends.
