She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ogburn and Ada Farmer Ogburn; her husband Charlie Franklin Brooks, Jr.; her daughter Linda Brooks Kidd; and her siblings, Joseph Ogburn, Staley Ogburn, Margaret Raper and Janice Dupree.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Brooks of Pittsboro and Amy Brooks of Moncure; Sally Dorman (Lonnie) of Coats.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pittsboro Baptist Church (121 W Salisbury St, Pittsboro, NC 27312).
