She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Michael Boling and Beulah Lillian Whitfield Boling; her husband Gilbert H. Sossamon, Sr.; her children, Eric Wayne Sossamon, Baby Boy Sossamon and Melissa Ann Sossamon; and her siblings, Bobby Gordon Boling, Thomas Boling, Allen Boling, Hugh Boling, James Boling, Gary Kendall Boling, Louise Napier and Beulah Haigler.
She is survived by: her children, Gilbert H. Sossamon, Jr., Kenneth Dale Sossamon, Carl Michael Sossamon (Carol Henig), Lois Fay Smith, Joyce Marie Tyson and Brenda Joyce Bigham (Daniel); and her brother David Elias Boling. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
