He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Baker and Della K. Baker. He is survived by: his wife Helen Baker; his daughter Bridga Long (David); his grandsons, Jay Long, Noah Long and Tanner Long; and his siblings, Dennis Baker (Karen) and Debbie Plyler (Robbie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (6907 Gus Eubanks Rd, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Final Resting Place Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (6907 Gus Eubanks Rd, Monroe, NC 28112).
