He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Fulton Howie and Leona Helms Howie; his wife Modene McCorkle Howie; and his sisters, Clara McDonald, Eleanor Smith Little and Olive Howie.
He is survived by: his children, Eddy (Felicia), Johnny (Diane) and Susan; and his grandsons, Daniel (Naomi) and Matthew.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mineral Springs Methodist Church Cemetery (5915 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd, Monroe, NC 28112). Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Mineral Springs Methodist Church (5915 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd, Monroe, NC 28112).
