She was predeceased by: her parents, John Orr and Rena Orr; her husband Carl Melton; her siblings, Ceola Belk, Dexter Orr and David Orr; and her grandson Brandon Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Lydia Parker, Penelope Williams, Ginger Williams, John Phillips, Janet Adams (Brian) and Angela Beth Thompson (Joe); her sister Linda Parsons; and her sister-in-law Brenda Orr. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hills Baptist Church (2003 Willis Long Rd, Monroe, NC 28110).
