“So I got the call yesterday and I still can’t believe it’s true. Chuck was a great friend and mentor. I can still remember growing up he stayed down the street from me. As a kid he had taught me many things like how to drive and how to make one of my favorite side dishes still to this day the twice baked potato. He also taught me a lot about respect and discipline. I remember him taking me to work with him on the weekends to do side jobs which taught me a lot about plumbing. He used to let me and my siblings melt down crayons to make candles just to keep us off the street and out of trouble. I remember going over to his house every week to watch wrestling. He gave all of us the keys to his house so we could come and go as we pleased. And I also remember the times he looked back to us for help like when his dog more like a family member rather than a pet passed and we were just glade to be of some help in his times of need as well. I can surly say if it wasn’t for chuck I don’t know were I would be today. I will never forget him or the lessons he taught me and he will forever be missed RIP CHUCK.”

Mary Moore wrote a sympathy message

“Sending our love & prayers of comfort to all. We will miss our fun loving Chuck. God put Chuck in each of our lives at different times for a reason, and then, He took him away at different times for reasons which one sweet day will be revealed to each one. I (Mary) knew Chuck as my brother-in-law.... "Preciois Memories, Oh How Sweet"..... we share memories of the good times our families shared at Christmas time, watching my Mama & Daddy's faces as they enjoyed every chance given them to spend with their grandchildren. As time moved on, Chuck was blessed with grandchildren of his own. From what I hear, he was, also, a very loving & devoted grandfather. To all who were lucky enough to have known Chuck, he was a good man who was taken from us way too soon. We Love You & Will Miss You! Russ & Mary Moore P.S. The attached picture (a favorite in our family) is one of those "precious memories" of Chuck's daughter, April, (2nd from left)......with his nieces & nephews, at Mamaw & Papaw's.....”
