He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Mullis Hyatt. He is survived by: his children, David Hyatt (Teka) of Marshville, NC, Daron Hyatt (Pam) of Stanfield, NC, Craig Hyatt (Michelle) of Dacula, GA and Jane Ellen Huneycutt (Ashley) of Locust, NC.; his grandchildren, Olivia Hyatt Groves, Madeline Hyatt Groves (Logan), Meredith Hyatt Barbee (David), Will Hyatt (Leah), Elizabeth Hyatt Smith (Andrew), Laura Hyatt Allapatt (Noel), Christine Hyatt, Ava Hyatt, Andrew Hyatt, Ellen Huneycutt Morton (Daniel), Rebekah Huneycutt and Ross Huneycutt (Aryn); his sisters, Patsy Baucom of Monroe, NC and Rita Deck (Bill) of Lewisville, NC; his friend Peggy Baucom; and his caregiver Deanna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church (7608 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tillery Compassionate Care, 960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001, or to The Music Fund at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 7608 Concord Highway, Monroe, NC 28110.
