He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wilson Brooks and Genevieve Brewer Brooks; and his siblings, Dennis Brooks and Deane Mungo. He is survived by: his wife Doris Baucom Brooks; his daughter Donna Moore (Steve); his grandson John Mark Moore (Charli); and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Moore, McKinley Moore and Watson Moore.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (5928 New Salem Rd, Marshville, NC 28103). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:45 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made by donors' choice.
