He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Horne and Agnes Threadgill Horne; and his brother Herman "Sonny" Horne. He is survived by: his children, Lori Zammit (Dave), Don Horne Jr. (Christine) and Robert "Bobby" Horne; and his grandsons, Brandon Zammit, Ryan Zammit, Ethan Horne and Mason Horne.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
