We are sad to announce that, on July 26, 2022, at the age of 90, Doris Ellen Helms (Monroe, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Louis Godfrey and Violet Therrell Godfrey; her former husband Henry Helms; her husband Clifford Rowell; and her brother Roy Godfrey.

She is survived by: her daughter Ann H. Fox (Tony) of Waxhaw; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Godfrey of Waxhaw; and her grandchildren, Kristin Fox and Jeffrey Fox (Misty). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Waxhaw Baptist Church Building Fund, 8213 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd., Waxhaw, NC 28173.
