She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond L. Smith and Ila O. Eudy Smith; her husband Leroy L. Preslar; and her son Barry Wayne Preslar. She is survived by: her children, Gail Preslar (Milton Nelson) of Kingsport, TN, JB Preslar (Patty) of Monroe, NC and Gary Preslar of Monroe, NC; her grandchildren, Spencer Gainey (Maggie) of Spartanburg, SC, Cameron Nelson Hardamon (Paris) of Chicago, IL, Amanda Preslar Fowler (Sam) of Mint Hill and Ashley Preslar McComb (Chase) of Monroe; and her great grandchildren, Daniel Clark, TJ Gainey, Eli Gainey of Spartanburg, SC and Samuel Fowler of Mint Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McEwen's Funeral Home of Monroe (204 S Main St, Monroe, NC 28112). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (2301 N Rocky River Rd, Monroe, NC 28110). During and following COVID, she worshipped via Facebook Livestream.
