She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin Couick and Pearl Starnes Couick; her husband Roy Lee Godfrey; her siblings, Frankie Couick, Jim Couick, Nancy Lemmond, Shirley Eudy and Shelia Couick; and her grandson Matthew King.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Godfrey (Donna), Libby Faulk (Woody) and Patti Carter (Roger); her brother Jerry Couick (Lib); her grandsons, Ron Godfrey (Cristina), Jason Godfrey (Mesia), Brian King, Adam King (Kayla), Nathan Carter (Stacey), Daniel Carter, Johnathan Carter (Lyndsey) and Jordan Carter (Connie); her siblings-in-law, Carol Couick and Floyd Eudy; and her stepgrandchildren, B. J. McCoy (Jim), Wes Faulk (Angie) and John Faulk (Tracy). She is also survived by seven step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
