She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Long and Bertice Williams Tucker; and her son George Vann Griffin II. She is survived by: her sons, Lane Griffin (Wendy) and Alan Griffin (Melody); her sister Sheila Tucker Deal (Jim); her granddaughter Shea Griffin; her stepgrandchildren, Lindsey Shoultes (Chad) and Chad Tyson; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Grey Shoultes and Amos Shoultes.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
