He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Kingsolver Hiler and Bethel Pope Hiler; his wife Gladys Shaffer Hiler; and his sisters, Ethelane Clark and Minnie Ball.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Freitag and Sandra Hiler; his grandchildren, Parker Freitag and Lauren Freitag; and his pet Bentley.
