He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Luther and Cora Bell Tarlton Love. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Haigler Love; his daughter-in-law Dale; his stepchildren, Leslie Pierce (Lisa), Victor Pierce, Klane Pierce and Vanghi Trull (Kenny); his granddaughters, Kira Rutherford, Athena Rutherford, Courtney Trull, Leslie Ann Williams (Nick), Hayley Small (Alex) and Ashlyn Pierce; his nephews, Tommy Langley and Billy Jowers; and his siblings-in-law, Raymelle Kiker (Gene), David Reavis (Chila) and Bill Simpson. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (6223 Love Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
