She was predeceased by: her parents, James Brice and Mary Joanna Griffin Flowe; her husbands, William Harrel (Bill), Scott Yow Sr. and Joel Van Helms; her stepdaughter Linda Ruth Yow; and her daughters, Cynthia Ann of Graham, NC and Melanie Kem of Reidsville, NC.
She is survived by: her siblings, Arthur James Lowe, Charlie Myers Flowe, Edna Mae Flowe, Max Columbus Flowe and Effie Jean Flowe; her children, Susie Yow Calkins (Kevin) of Monroe, NC and Danny O'Shea Keaton; her stepsons, Scott Yow Jr., Randy Yow, Rick Helms (Brenda) and Jeff Helms (Nanda); and her grandchildren, Benjamin James Cronk and Brooklynn Renee Calkins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
