John Wayne leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John Wayne’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Phillips and Juanita Phillips; and his brother David Phillips. He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Bigham.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
